International Workshop on Developmental Nephrology
The twelfth International Workshop on Developmental Nephrology (IWDN) features cutting-edge developments in cell fate, cell differentiation and morphogenesis as they relate to normal and malformed kidney development. IWDN connects fundamental scientists, clinician scientists and clinicians and features the work of young investigators. The topics covered deal with kidney and urogenital development and malformations, kidney regeneration and pediatric kidney disease. This conference brings together pediatric nephrologists who treat children with urogenital malformations, inherited kidney disease, and renal dysplastic conditions, with scientists who are investigating the molecular basis for these conditions and are providing a basic framework for regenerative therapies for kidney disease. Over the past thirty years, this has been a unique meeting in bringing together clinicians and basic scientists working on kidney and urogenital development.
Additional funding is being sought to support the travel of a limited number of young investigators to this meeting. These investigators will be selected based on the merit of submitted abstracts.
This event is sponsored by the International Pediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA). IPNA is a network of allied professional dedicated to disseminate knowledge about kidney disease in children in the areas where care is needed most.
